I have a SMEG DWA 157B dishwasher and after it has finished a cycle water is slowly creeping in and triggering the aquastop valve. Is there a solenoid somewhere in the water circuit that shuts off the water supply once a wash cycle has ended to prevent this from happening
Hi there, not sure if u can help. My smeg dishwasher is coming on but the lights are either stuck or not coming on. What can be the problem. It worked earlier but not the lights wouldn't come on. When I put it on it pings and then nothing. What can I do?
This is a aquastop issue if anyone is looking for an easy way to fix this just pull the dishwasher out and tilt it which will drain the water out. This should work cus i just did it now and it worked.
As Mark said, this is sounds like an Aquastop issue. When the power is switched on the first thing the dishwasher will do is turn on the pump to drain any remaining water. What you need to do is get into the bottom of the dishwasher and soak up any water around the styrofoam stopper - a switch with styrofoam on that clicks if you gently push it. Once the water is removed the styrofoam will allow the dishwasher to work as normal. But bear in mind that the water got there somehow and if you don find and fix the leak this will happen again
My SMEG ST6015-2 will start, BUT ... after about a minute it all of a sudden stops. It refuses to do anything else. It is not user-friendly; it is a piece of shit. Piece. Of. Shit!

Air break o-rings need replacing. They’re leaking into the base activating the anti-flood switch.
How did you sort this problem? Ours has just started doing this!

Same problem
Hello....! how do you fix this?
That's the float (aquastop) in the bottom panel indicating a leak (or a dust buildup)
Any one update?
